Massoud Noghrekar grew up in Tehran, Iran. In 1970 at the age of 16 he began writing short stories, shortly thereafter he attended medical school. In 1978 he graduated as a Medical Doctor. While practicing medicine as a General Practitioner,he continued writing and he published several books and many articles.
In 1985 due to the turmoil in Iran, Massoud was forced into exile because of his political and cultural stand against Islamic Republic dictatorship. He was able to flee to Germany where he lived for eight years. During this time he continued the struggle for democracy in his homeland by writing. He also continued to work in the medical field.
In 1993, Massoud emigrated to the United States of America, where obtained his United States Medical Licensing, and decided to focus on his writing.
Massoud has published sixteen books and over more than a hundred scientific, political and literary articles. While most of these writings are in Farsi, he has also written several more books which are soon to be published in Farsi and English.
